ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution condemning recent terrorist attacks across various cities in Balochistan.
The resolution highlighted the exploitation of women by terrorist networks, who allegedly attempt to use them against the state and society.
The resolution described these acts as “heinous and inhumane,” noting that women are being subjected to coercion, mental pressure, and blackmail to serve the terrorists’ agenda, actions that contravene both Pakistani and Baloch values.
Presented by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, the resolution emphasized that attacks on civilians, especially women and children, are unforgivable crimes, and demanded decisive state action under the principle of zero tolerance.
It also expressed serious concerns over external involvement, particularly from India, and warned that some neighboring countries provide logistical, financial, and operational support to terrorist networks. The resolution called for a coordinated national response across political, diplomatic, intelligence, legal, and media fronts.
The Assembly also extended condolences to the families of martyrs and the injured.
Earlier, Noor Alam Khan suggested including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the resolution, citing high terrorism incidents there.
In a related development, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution marking Kashmir Solidarity Day, suspending regular rules to do so.
The resolution reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir is an international dispute that should be resolved according to UN Security Council resolutions.
It condemned Indian human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, including the unilateral move of August 5, 2019, and called on the international community to take notice and play an active role in resolving the conflict.
