Nine people from Punjab shot dead in Balochistan

Gunmen check ID cards of passengers in a bus and abduct and kill nine belonging to Punjab.

QUETTA: Nine people belonging to Punjab were shot dead by gunmen after abducting them from a bus in Noshki town of Balochistan on Saturday.

About 10-12 gunmen blockaded the Quetta-Taftan Highway N-40 in the vicinity of Sultan Charhai near Noshki and abducted nine passengers from a bus, Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel told media.

The gunmen checked the ID cards of the passengers and dragged down those belonging to Punjab and took them towards a mountain. Later, their dead bodies were recovered from the hillside. The bus was going to Taftan from Quetta.

The victims were from Wazirabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Gujranwala, said the official.

Gunmen also targetted a car in the same area abd killed two people besides injuring another.
