LONDON: Former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming schedule of Oct 21, 2023, is not changed and he is expected to arrive in Lahore on the already announced date, said his brother Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N leaders held a meeting at the London residence of Nawaz Sharif and discussed his homecoming plan and also legal complexities concerning cases registered against him in Pakistan.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that there was no change in the schedule of the senior Sharif and he would be returning to Pakistan on Oct 21 as already announced. About the future plan of the part in the context of the forthcoming general elections, he said this would be announced by Nawaz Sharif at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore.
Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz, who was also present at the London huddle, rejected rumours about any change to his father’s homecoming. She said preparations for Nawaz Sharif’s return were going on and he would be among his people in the third week of October to restart the process of development where it had been left.
