No Intention to Enter Regional Conflicts, Pezeshkian Tells Shehbaz 

TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that his country has no intention of entering into conflicts with other nations in the region.

He made the remarks during a conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to Iranian media reports.

During the discussion, President Pezeshkian said that if the international community fails to hold those responsible for wars accountable, it could create serious threats to the global system and international security.

He said that Iran seeks stability and peaceful relations with neighboring countries and does not wish to escalate tensions in the region.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had written a letter to Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.

In his letter, the premier expressed condolences over the death of former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and conveyed sympathies and prayers from the people of Pakistan to the people of Iran and the wider Muslim world.
