Nobel laureate to head interim govt in Bangladesh

Names of other members of interview cabinet will be decided in consultation with political parties.

DHAKA: After resignation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina Wajid, the process to form an interim government has started in the country.

According to reports, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has been named as the head of the interim government in Bangladesh. In the meanwhile, more names are being propose to include in the interim setup of the country. 

Prime Minister Hasina resigned and fled to India after students protesting against quota system in government job started marching on the capital Dhaka on August 5th.

The decision to appoint the interim government was taken at meeting held at the president house which was attended by the three services chiefs and leaders of the protesting students.

It was decided at the meeting that the names of the members of the interim cabinet would be finalised in consultation with leaders of all major political parties.
