TURBAT (BALOCHISTAN): People working with transporters of petrol blocked a highway linking Pakistan and Iran at Turbat here as a protest.
According to an official, people who use their vehicles to supply Iranian fuel to different parts of Balochistan launched the protest after a change was made to the procedure to go to the border.
A leader of the National Party said that his party was with the protesters and would not accept any change to the procedure that affected the business of the vehicle owners.
It may be noted that due to the ban on export of Iranian petroleum products, most of the country’s oil ends up in neighboring countries through illegal means.
