Over 140,000 Students Sit Medical and Dental Colleges Entry Test
ISLAMABAD: Students across Pakistan are taking the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) today, with more than 140,000 candidates participating in the nationwide examination.
The test determines admissions into MBBS and BDS programs, with only 22,000 students expected to secure seats.
Amid concerns over leaked papers circulating on social media, Professor Asif Ahmed Sheikh, CEO of the Sindh Testing Service, confirmed that the leaked MDCAT papers are fake.
He advised students who do not have a Juvenile Card not to worry and instructed them to bring their original matriculation or intermediate mark sheets to the exam centers.
Across the country, 32 examination centers have been set up for the test, with one additional center in Saudi Arabia for overseas candidates.
In Karachi, traffic on University Road was disrupted due to the MDCAT, prompting deployment of police and traffic personnel to maintain smooth flow. Major exam centers in Karachi include Dow University and NED University.
The MDCAT remains a highly competitive test, determining the future of thousands of aspiring medical and dental professionals across Pakistan.
