RAWALPINDI: The military has confirmed that the Pakistan Air Force targeted an ammunition and drone depot in Kabul, which was supplied to the Afghan Taliban by India.
The strike caused massive explosions that were reportedly heard across the city.
In an interview with a news channel, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said the primary target was Taliban ammunition, weapons and drones. “The Taliban cannot manufacture drones themselves. Only one country is providing them ready-made drones — India,” he stated.
Addressing claims of civilian casualties, DG ISPR rejected the reports as propaganda. “Many Taliban fighters do not wear uniforms and often blend in with civilians,” he explained.
He added that the Taliban frequently use drug-addicted individuals for suicide attacks, and the drones targeting Pakistan are supplied to the Taliban by India.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry added that Pakistan has no conflict with the Afghan people, who he said are being held hostage by terrorist groups.
