Pakistan Advocates Dialogue Amid Tensions in Iran, PM Says

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan has played a fraternal role amid the tense situation in Iran, emphasizing that efforts are being made to resolve the matter through dialogue.

Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting, he said that he, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Field Marshal had held meetings and telephonic conversations with the Iranian leadership at various times. He said that the goal is to achieve peace in the region through dialogue and handle the situation in a constructive manner.

Addressing other issues, he expressed the nation’s grief over the killing of workers and children, condemning attacks on innocent civilians as inhumane. He reaffirmed that sacrifices for justice will yield results, and terrorism will ultimately be eradicated.

The Prime Minister highlighted the nation’s united stand against terrorism and mentioned recent discussions with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
