In an official statement, Pakistan paid tribute to the fallen peacekeepers, honoring their “supreme sacrifice in the service of international peace,” and extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh.
The statement described the attack as a heinous act and emphasized that assaults on United Nations peacekeepers constitute war crimes under international law.
Pakistan called for the perpetrators of the attack to be swiftly identified and brought to justice, stressing the importance of accountability to deter future violence against peacekeeping personnel.
Reaffirming its commitment to UN peacekeeping operations, Islamabad highlighted its role as a major troop-contributing country and expressed full solidarity with all “Blue Helmets” serving in dangerous and challenging environments across the world.
