Booth set up by embassy of Pakistan proved to be a major attraction at annual “Winternational” cultural festival in Washington DC.
WASHINGTON: The annual “Winternational” cultural festival lit up the U.S. capital as nearly seventy embassies participated in one of Washington’s most anticipated multicultural events.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, toured various national booths, interacted informally with organizers, and conveyed his congratulations to Jane Doe Plen and the entire Winternational organizing committee for the well-coordinated event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Sheikh said that Pakistan is the custodian of an extraordinary cultural legacy.
“Our culture is distinguished by its captivating beauty and astonishing diversity,” he remarked. “The artistic and cultural treasures of Pakistan reflect our history, social traditions, and deep connection with nature in the most profound way.”
Ambassador Sheikh said events like Winternational play a crucial role in promoting cultural diplomacy, introducing global audiences to world cultures, and bringing nations closer together through mutual understanding and appreciation.
The Pakistan booth proved to be a major attraction, drawing crowds of American visitors as well as international guests. The booth showcased a rich array of Pakistani art pieces, cultural handicrafts, gemstones, and traditional jewelry, each representing a unique facet of the country’s heritage.
Guests were also offered traditional Pakistani dishes and aromatic tea, both of which received enthusiastic praise.
Visitors expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s artistic traditions, craftsmanship, and cultural expressions. Many stopped to learn more about the origins and significance of the displayed items.
