ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a bold challenge to India, urging both countries to conduct an independent verification of their current air force inventories following conflicting claims about aerial engagements.
Responding to India’s assertions that it had shot down Pakistani aircraft, Khawaja Asif categorically denied these claims, stating that not a single Pakistani aircraft was destroyed or downed by Indian forces.
He criticized the Indian Air Force Chief’s delayed statements as both baseless and poorly timed, noting that no such claims were made in the three months following the incidents.
Khawaja Asif emphasized that Pakistan promptly provided detailed technical briefings to international media and that impartial observers have acknowledged the destruction of multiple Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets.
These admissions have surfaced through various channels, including statements by global leaders, Indian politicians, and foreign intelligence assessments.
According to the Defense Minister, Pakistan successfully destroyed six Indian warplanes, the S-400 air defense system, several Indian drones, and rendered multiple Indian airbases inoperative. Additionally, he claimed that Indian forces suffered significantly higher personnel and equipment losses along the Line of Control.
Calling for transparency, Khawaja Asif urged both nations to allow an independent audit of their air fleets to establish the facts. “We believe such verification will expose the truth that India seeks to conceal,” hestated.
