NEW YORK: A Pakistan Heritage and Resolution Day event was organized by the Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society of the New York Police Department (NYPD).
The ceremony at the NYPD Headquarters was marked by a display of community pride, cultural celebration, and public service.

Mayor of New York Eric Adams, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai, police commissioner and deputy commissioner along with a large number of Pakistani American police officers, their families, and prominent members of the Pakistani American community attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Atozai highlighted the contributions of Pakistani American officers in strengthening peace and security across New York’s diverse neighborhoods.

He commended their dedication to public service and their humanitarian efforts in Pakistan, which reflect a deep commitment to their roots and sense of global responsibility.
He also praised their initiative in celebrating Pakistan’s heritage at the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant cities, calling them “true ambassadors of Pakistan” who exemplify the values of unity, resilience, and pride in cultural identity.
The event underscored the vital role of Pakistani Americans in law enforcement and celebrated their achievements as a bridge between communities.
