WASHINGTON: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, speaking to over 400 Pakistani-American community leaders in Washington, said Pakistan is ready to discuss terrorism with India and that the world will soon witness major developments.

He outlined details of Operation Bunyān Mursuṣ, Pakistan’s strategic response to Indian aggression, emphasizing it was a multi-front, coordinated effort that demonstrated military strength and ethical restraint. Only six Indian jets were downed, though 20 were targeted, to avoid escalating the conflict.

Rejecting Indian claims regarding the Pahalgam incident, Munir stated that Kashmir’s freedom struggle cannot be labeled terrorism. He questioned India’s massive military presence in the region and its failure to prevent the attack.

He also revealed Pakistan’s use of cyber and drone warfare to disrupt Indian systems, with support from Chinese equipment. Munir dismissed the idea that the U.S. and India share identical views on terrorism in Pakistan, stating the U.S. opposes Indian-sponsored attacks.

On the economic front, he invited U.S. investment in Pakistan’s $1 trillion mineral reserves, proposing partnerships in crypto mining and AI infrastructure. Munir predicted rapid progress over the next five years, aiming for Pakistan to join the G10 by 2047.

He credited the military’s success to public support and national unity, and concluded by calling overseas Pakistanis a vital “brain gain” for the country.
