ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Ministers of eight Muslim countries — Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt — have welcomed U.S.

President Donald J. Trump’s leadership and his declared commitment to ending the war in Gaza. They praised his role as sincere and pivotal in shaping a path toward peace and stability in the Middle East.

In a joint statement, the ministers voiced confidence in President Trump’s ability to guide the region toward peace, stressing the importance of continued partnership with the United States in securing long-term stability.

They particularly commended his proposal to halt hostilities in Gaza, rebuild the devastated territory, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and advance a comprehensive peace process.

The ministers also underscored his categorical pledge that the annexation of the West Bank will not be permitted, calling it a crucial step toward safeguarding the prospects of a just resolution.

The Muslim countries affirmed their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and all relevant parties in order to finalize the agreement and ensure its implementation in a way that guarantees peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.

Reiterating their collective commitment, the ministers emphasized that they would work closely with Washington to pursue a comprehensive deal that brings the Gaza war to an end.

According to the statement, this deal must guarantee the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, prevent any displacement of Palestinians, secure the release of hostages, and establish a credible security mechanism to protect all sides. It should also include the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, the reconstruction of Gaza, and the creation of a clear pathway to a just and lasting peace.

Such peace, the ministers stressed, must be based on the two-state solution, under which Gaza would be fully integrated with the West Bank in a sovereign Palestinian state, consistent with international law — a foundation they described as essential for achieving enduring regional peace, stability, and security.
