Pakistan piles up 563 runs on third day of Test

Saud Shakeel set a world record of making runs in Test matches.

COLOMBO: On the third day of Colombo test against Sri Lanka, Pakistan in their first innings were 563 for five at stumps today. 

Pakistan is leading by 397 runs.

Earlier, Sri-Lanka were all out for 166 runs in their first innings. Pakistan lead the two-match series one-nil.

Batter Saud Shakeel set a world record in the second Test against Sri Lanka by becoming the first player in Test history to score 50+ runs in each of his first seven matches.

Before Shakeel, India’s Sunil Gavaskar, Pakistan’s Saeed Ahmed, West Indies’ Basil Butcher and New Zealand’s Bert Sutcliffe scored half-centuries in each of the first six Tests of their career.
