ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday that Pakistan is ready to host negotiations between the United States and Iran aimed at ending the ongoing war.
The Foreign Office has confirmed that, following Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, both parties are moving toward peace talks, and Pakistan considers it an honor to facilitate these discussions.
Speaking on social media platform X, the Prime Minister emphasized that the talks are crucial for regional and global peace and stability. He stated that Pakistan will strive to ensure a comprehensive resolution to the ongoing conflict.
Reports suggest that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance may meet with the Iranian delegation in Islamabad as part of these negotiations.
Pakistan’s readiness to host the talks has been widely welcomed internationally, highlighting the country’s potential role as a mediator in the Middle East.
