Pakistan says India’s ‘Kashmir its integral part’ claim is rubbish

Delegate to UNGA says New Delhi failed to implement UN resolutions ”through fraud and force.”

UNITED NATIONS: After the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan drew attention of the world towards the unresolved Kashmir issue during his address at the UNGA session, an Indian delegate reacted and claimed that the Himalayan state was an integral part of India.

“Pakistan has no locus standi to comment on our domestic matters,” Petal Gahlot asserted. She also accused Pakistan of involvement in terrorism and urged Islamabad to concern itself with the “deplorable” conditions of minorities and women in the country.

In response, Pakistan’s delegate Saima Saleem ridiculed New Delhi’s claim that Kashmir was its integral part, saying “It never was, it never will be.”

There are UN Security Council resolutions in which the world body affirmed that the resolution of the issue was to be decided by holding a plebiscite to ascertain the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

India accepted under Article 25 of the charter of the United Nations but failed to implement the resolutions ”through fraud and force” and continues suppressing Kashmiris’ demand for their right to self-determination.

The Pakistani delegate said the entire Kashmiri population had been the victim of India’s brutal tactics.
