ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday dismissed India’s allegations related to terrorism as misleading and politically motivated, stating that such narratives cannot conceal facts.

The Foreign Office said India’s actions demonstrate a consistent pattern of destabilizing behavior in the region rather than a commitment to peace.

Addressing a weekly press briefing in Islamabad, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said India has been involved in extrajudicial killings abroad and interference in the internal affairs of neighboring countries.

The spokesperson said that India carried out terrorist activities inside Pakistan through operatives such as Kulbhushan Jadhav and provided safe havens to wanted criminals.

The spokesperson further expressed concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in India, saying minorities are facing increasing harassment and repression.

Commenting on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, the Foreign Office said defense cooperation between the two countries remains strong, comprehensive, and ongoing within an established bilateral framework.

The spokesperson clarified that there is no finalized agreement regarding any specific defense platform or loan from Saudi Arabia, adding that any such development would be formally announced after completion of due processes.

In response to questions about the possible deployment of additional Pakistani troops to Saudi Arabia, the spokesperson said there is no information about any such decision at present. However, several defense-related projects between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are under consideration.

The spokesperson declined to comment on speculation regarding troop numbers, emphasizing that defense cooperation continues in accordance with mutual agreements and established procedures.
