ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has stated that Afghan Taliban carried out multiple attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and were beaten back by security forces.

He said that a total of 67 Taliban terrorists were killed during retaliatory operations.

In his latest statement regarding Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, the minister said that in northern Balochistan, militants launched ground assaults at 16 different locations across the districts of Qilla Saifullah, Nushki, and Chaman. Additionally, 25 fire-raid attacks were conducted against Pakistani forces.

He said all attacks were successfully repelled. As a result, 27 Afghan Taliban militants were killed and several others injured in Balochistan. During the defense of the country, one soldier of FC Balochistan North was martyred, while five others sustained injuries.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, militants attempted a ground assault at one location and carried out fire raids at 12 different sites. According to the minister, these attacks were thwarted without any casualties among Pakistani forces.

However, during overnight follow-up operations in KP, security forces killed 40 Afghan Taliban militants. Clearance and follow-up operations are still ongoing, and a detailed update will be issued later.

Meanwhile, Pakistani armed forces also conducted effective ground and aerial operations against Afghan Taliban and what officials referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij.” In a successful airstrike in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, Pakistani forces reportedly destroyed the Khogani base.

The minister said that following unprovoked aggression, Afghan Taliban militants are facing strong resistance on all fronts. Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq remains underway and will continue until its objectives are fully achieved.
