ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan is dispatching another major consignment of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, Palestine.
A dedicated relief flight, carrying 100 tons of critical supplies, will depart tomorrow from Islamabad International Airport. The shipment includes 65 tons of canned food, 20 tons of dry and infant milk, 5 tons of biscuits, and 10 tons of essential medicines, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza during this humanitarian crisis.
A send-off ceremony was held to mark the occasion, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chairman NDMA, Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, who were present as Chief Guests. Also in attendance were representatives from the Al-Khidmat Foundation, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), NDMA, and the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan.
This consignment, organized under the leadership of NDMA and supported by the Government of Pakistan, is part of a broader 200-ton humanitarian operation being carried out via two chartered relief flights.
Since the onset of the crisis, Pakistan has consistently extended humanitarian assistance to Gaza, dispatching 16 previous consignments comprising food items, medical supplies, and winterized tents.
These efforts, coordinated by NDMA in collaboration with various partner organizations, underline Pakistan’s firm resolve to support the Palestinian people in their hour of need.
