ISLAMABAD: Pakistan expressed deep concern over a new surge of violence in Yemen, highlighting its support for the country’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
Speaking on behalf of the Foreign Office, a spokesperson condemned any unilateral actions by Yemeni factions, warning that such moves could undermine ongoing peace efforts and escalate the situation further.
The spokesperson welcomed regional initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and reiterated Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to regional security.
Stressing the importance of negotiations and diplomacy, Pakistan called on all parties, including regional powers, to work together toward a sustainable and lasting solution for the Yemeni people.
