BRUSSELS: Members of the Pakistani community held a large rally in the capital city of Belgium to express solidarity with state institutions, especially Pakistan Army, in the wake of the May 9 violence in the country.
The Istihkame Pakistan rally was organized by EU Pak-Belgium Federation.
Addressing the participants, the speakers condemned the May 9 violence and arson attacks on military installations in Pakistan and said these were aimed at weakening the state institutions and put a brake on the development of the country.
They said strong institutions were imperative for a stable and prosperous Pakistan and the Pakistani diaspora would render any sacrifice for the development of their motherland.
They were of the opinion that a strong and stable Pakistan was also necessary for the independent of the Indian illegally occupied Kashmir.
The speakers said enemies of Pakistan would take advantage of any political, economic crisis.
The rally ended with the participants offering prayers for the stability abd development of Pakistan.
