Pakistan, Tajikistan Reaffirm Commitment to Deepen Partnership

CHOLPON-ATA: Pakistan and Tajikistan have expressed their resolve to enhance cooperation across multiple areas, including trade, investment, energy, connectivity, culture, and bilateral exchanges, as the two countries seek to further strengthen their longstanding relationship.

The commitment was made during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting.

The two leaders reaffirmed the friendly and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan, stressing the importance of regular high-level interactions to expand bilateral cooperation.

Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin reiterated Tajikistan’s support for Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace, stability, and peaceful solutions to regional challenges.

The two sides also discussed regional and global developments and emphasized the need for stronger coordination through multilateral forums to contribute to peace, stability, and prosperity.
