ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue its fight against all forms of terrorism.
In a statement issued on the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, the FO paid tribute to the innocent children and teachers who lost their lives.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the APS tragedy as one of the worst acts of inhumanity in history, emphasizing that the sacrifices of the martyrs reflect the nation’s firm resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms.
The statement said that ending terrorism remains an urgent and critical need, noting that Pakistan has suffered greatly, losing over 90,000 precious lives and facing significant economic and social challenges, underscoring the country’s frontline role in the global fight against terrorism.
The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to carry out effective operations against terrorist organizations.
However, threats persist from terrorist elements operating across the border, who are supported by Pakistan’s adversaries. Pakistan has repeatedly highlighted these challenges and taken strict measures to curb the spread of terrorism.
The Ministry called for concrete global measures to eliminate safe havens for terrorists and to stop all forms of support for them.
