Pakistan, Turkiye want to enhance volume of bilateral trade

Say signing of Trade in Goods Agreement 2022 was a significant step towards achieving trade target of five billion dollars.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkiye have said that they need to further enhance the volume of bilateral trade and investment by promoting business-to-business arrangements.
A press release issued by finance ministry said that Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Paçaci held a farewell meeting with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad.
Both sides said that the signing of the Trade in Goods Agreement 2022 was a significant step towards achieving the bilateral trade target of five billion dollars.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister appreciated the outgoing ambassador’s role in boosting bilateral relations. He said Pakistan would continue deepening its partnership with Türkiye in different sectors, including trade, investment, technical cooperation.
He extended his best wishes to Ambassador Paçaci in his future endeavors and expressed confidence for continued collaboration and enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Ambassador Paçaci also expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support extended by the government during his tenure.
He also appreciated, on behalf of the trade delegation of Turkiye, the engagements made by the government and said these would further solidify economic ties and help unlock the vast potential for bilateral trade and investment.
The ambassador assured Pakistan of his country’s continued commitment to working towards the common goals of both nations.
