ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United Kingdom on Saturday reiterated their resolve to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.
The resolve was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the UK Minister of State for International Development and Africa, Baroness Jenny Chapman at the Prime Minister House.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office media wing, Sharif welcomed Baroness Jenny Chapman and underscored the deep-rooted and long-standing relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
He noted that the bilateral relationship is built on shared history, strong institutional ties, and mutual respect.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including development cooperation, climate change, economic engagement, and broader regional and global matters.
The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further expanding collaboration in key sectors to promote sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
Baroness Jenny Chapman appreciated Pakistan’s engagement and reiterated the United Kingdom’s interest in deepening cooperation with Pakistan in areas of development, climate resilience and economic growth.
