ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening and expanding their longstanding bilateral relations.
The resolve came during a meeting between British High Commissioner Jane Marriott and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides reviewed the current state of Pakistan–UK relations and expressed satisfaction over the growing cooperation and the positive outcomes of recent high-level engagements between the two countries.
Dar highlighted the steady improvement in bilateral ties, emphasizing that significant new opportunities for enhanced cooperation exist in diverse fields.
He appreciated the constructive and mutually beneficial relationship that has developed between Pakistan and the United Kingdom over the years and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening collaboration with the UK.
During the meeting, both leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global political and economic developments, reaffirming their shared interest in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity through continued dialogue and strategic partnership.
