ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for “heinous crimes,” following deadly airstrikes on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, that killed at least 21 people, including four journalists and a rescue worker.
In a strongly worded statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan condemned the attack on a medical facility as “unconscionable and heinous,” stressing that the deliberate targeting of hospitals, civilians, and journalists amounts to a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, human rights law, and press freedom.
The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s demand for urgent and concrete measures to end what he described as Israel’s impunity, underscoring the urgent need for global action.
Extending its condemnation further, Pakistan also denounced Israeli military incursions into Syria, calling them a blatant breach of international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
Reaffirming its unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, Pakistan urged the international community to prevent Israel from undermining peace and stability across the region.
