ISLAMABAD: On the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Pakistan urged the international community to strengthen cooperation to eliminate terrorism without discrimination and support victims and their families.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including the Jaffar Express bombing and the Khuzdar school bus attack, and stated that terrorists often plan and execute attacks from across Pakistan’s borders. It also warned about new threats such as misinformation, extraterritorial assassinations, and hydro-terrorism.
Pakistan honored the sacrifices of its security forces and civilians, who have lost over 90,000 lives and suffered \$150 billion in economic damage. It reaffirmed solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, condemning the state terrorism and human rights violations they face.
The Foreign Office called on the world to address the root causes of terrorism, including unresolved conflicts and denial of self-determination, through comprehensive international efforts to achieve lasting peace and security.
