NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with Consul General in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended the Pakistan Heritage and Resolution Day event organized by the Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society of the New York Police Department.
The ceremony took place at NYPD Headquarters and was marked by a strong display of community pride, cultural celebration, and public service. The event was graced by the Deputy Police Commissioner of the NYPD, a large number of police officers and executives, as well as Pakistani American law enforcement personnel, their families, and prominent members of the Pakistani American community.
In his address, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh highlighted the significant contributions of Pakistani American officers in maintaining peace and security across New York’s diverse communities. He commended their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service.
He also appreciated their humanitarian initiatives in Pakistan, noting that such efforts reflect a strong bond with their homeland and a deep sense of global responsibility. The ambassador described them as true representatives of Pakistan who embody the values of unity, resilience, and pride in their cultural heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai also praised the role of Pakistani American officers in strengthening community relations and upholding law and order in New York City. He appreciated their efforts in promoting Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and acknowledged their continued engagement in welfare activities both in the United States and Pakistan.
