ISLAMABAD: The Henley Passport Index has released its 2025 rankings, showing significant improvement for the Pakistani passport, which has now entered the top 100. Pakistan ranks 100th, alongside Somalia and Yemen.
According to the announcement, Singapore holds the top spot as the world’s most powerful passport, granting visa-free access to 193 destinations. Japan and South Korea share second place, with visa-free access to 190 countries.
Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, and Spain are tied for third place, with their citizens able to travel visa-free to 189 destinations.
Pakistan’s Directorate General of Passports stated that online passport services are now available for overseas Pakistanis, and that efforts to further improve Pakistan’s ranking will continue with support from the Ministry of Interior.
