HOUSTON: A Pakistani student has been hospitalized after she was hit by a speeding car and injured in Houston Texas, the other day.
Dania Zaheer, 25, from Karachi was crossing a road when the recklessly-driven car hit her. The driver of the car even did not bother to stop and take the injured to hospital. She was later shifted to hospital where she was being treated for at least seven fractures in different parts of her body.
The injured, an MBA student, said that after hitting her the driver did not even bother to stop and say if she was dead or alive. My all dreams are now shattered, she added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s consul general in Houston Aftab Chaudhary and former federal minister Babar Ghori visited the injured student and inquired after her health.
They assured the student that they would be with her at this testing time. They expressed their shock over the incident.
The driver involved in the accident has not been traced and arrested. The Pakistani community in the city called upon the authorities concerned to arrest the driver and take action against him.
