WASHINGTON: The new ambassador of Pakistan to the United States of America is due to reach in Washington next week.
Sources told News Diplomacy that the new ambassador was expected to reach Washington on Tuesday to take over the charge.
It may be noted here that Rizwan Saeed Sheikh was named as the ambassador of Pakistan to the US in the last week of June this year. He is replacing Masood Khan whose extended tenure in Washington expired in June.
The new ambassador earlier served in the Pakistan embassy in Washington for many years. He is a professional diplomate and has also served on senior posts in different countries.
