ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s passport has seen a notable improvement, ranking 97th globally in the Henley Passport Index for February 2026, up from 98th in January 2026 and 103rd last year.
According to the latest index, Pakistani passport holders can now travel to 32 destinations either visa-free, with visa-on-arrival, or through an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), up from 31 destinations in January 2026. This increase is attributed to the reinstatement of access to Gambia, which has contributed to the growth.
Currently, visa-free access is available to 11 countries, including Barbados, Cook Islands, Dominica, Haiti, Micronesia, Montserrat, Rwanda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu, and Gambia. Additionally, 18 countries offer visa-on-arrival facilities, such as Cambodia, Maldives, Nepal, Qatar, and Senegal. Three countries – Kenya, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka – offer eTA options.
Meanwhile, Singapore remains at the top of the index for 2026, with visa-free access to 192 destinations, followed by Japan and South Korea.
