NEW YORK: “Pakistan is rich in talent, creativity, and resilience.” These were the words of Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai as he addressed a packed audience at a groundbreaking workshop on artificial intelligence hosted at the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York.

The event, titled “The Future of Artificial Intelligence,” was organized in collaboration with the Brilliance Foundation of New Jersey and featured distinguished speakers from Microsoft, Deloitte, Wall Street, and the healthcare sector. The workshop explored how artificial intelligence is transforming industries and reshaping the future of work, governance, education, and health.

A key focus of the event was empowering women, especially from the Pakistani-American community in the tri-state area, to harness AI tools and digital platforms to start and manage virtual businesses. Attendees included students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, making it one of the most inclusive tech gatherings organized by the Consulate.

Consul General Atozai highlighted Pakistan’s untapped potential in the global tech landscape. “Our diaspora continues to prove that given the right opportunities and support, our people can excel globally,” he said. “Workshops like these play a crucial role in bridging the knowledge gap and preparing our communities to thrive in an era defined by rapid technological change.”

He also praised the partnership with the Brilliance Foundation, noting its alignment with the Consulate’s mission to promote innovation, learning, and inclusive growth.

“We are proud to partner with community-driven organizations that are helping to build the next generation of leaders, especially women and underrepresented voices in tech,” he added.

The workshop concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, underscoring the importance of continued community engagement with emerging technologies. The event affirmed the Consulate’s commitment to advancing technological literacy and economic empowerment among Pakistani Americans.
