BOULDER (COLORADO): A pro-Israel rally held on Sunday at a shopping mall in Boulder, Colorado, turned violent when an unidentified man launched a petrol bomb attack, injuring at least six people.

Authorities have confirmed that the attacker, a 45-year-old male, was also injured and taken into custody at the scene.

According to international media reports, the assailant shouted “Free Palestine” before carrying out the attack. Emergency responders rushed the injured to nearby hospitals, where some are reported to be in critical condition, while others sustained minor injuries.

Local law enforcement stated that it is too early to determine the motive behind the attack. However, the FBI has labeled it a potential terrorist incident and launched a full investigation.

Colorado’s Attorney General condemned the attack, calling it an apparent hate crime. “Any form of hate-driven violence is absolutely unacceptable,” he said in a statement, urging calm and unity in the aftermath of the incident.

Security around public gatherings in the region has been increased as authorities continue to assess the situation.
