ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of its direct flight operations from Lahore to London, expanding its international network to the United Kingdom.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the first flight, PK-757, will depart from Lahore for London on March 30. All flights from Lahore will land at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4.
The resumption of flights comes after a six-year suspension of operations on this route. London is among PIA’s earliest international destinations, and with the restart of these services, the airline’s total weekly flights to the UK will increase to seven.
Before the suspension, PIA operated up to 10 weekly flights between Pakistan and London. The airline has stated that the number of flights will be increased gradually in line with demand.
PIA has already announced the commencement of three weekly flights from Islamabad to London, which will begin on March 29.
