PM Chairs Meeting to Review National and Regional Security

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired an important high-level meeting on Sunday to evaluate Pakistan’s national and regional security situation.

The session focused on the broader regional dynamics, including the security challenges in Afghanistan, and Pakistan’s efforts to play a pivotal role in promoting peace across the region.

A key discussion point was the coordinated operation to evacuate Pakistani citizens stranded in Iran, with Azerbaijan facilitating their safe return. The Foreign Office provided a detailed briefing on the ongoing evacuation efforts.

The meeting was attended by top officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and various senior federal ministers and military leaders, all of whom contributed to the review of Pakistan’s strategic security measures.–APP
