ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has said eligible individuals can file applications for ballot postal papers for the general elections till January 22.
According to an announcement of the ECP, the facility can be availed by the following citizens: government officials, armed forces personnel and individuals in public offices along with their spouses and children residing in a location different from the registered constituency.
Moreover, people in detention and those with physical disabilities unable to travel. The latter should have their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) with a physical disability logo issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Police officials assigned duties at polling stations different from their designated voting location can also submit their postal ballot applications to the returning officer within three days of their appointments.
The ECP clarified that the applications should be on specified forms and submitted to the returning officer of the constituency in which the applicant is registered as voters.
