ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2025 marked a significant step toward sustainable mineral development in the country, with a strategic partnership announced between Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Finland’s globally renowned Metso Corporation.
During the forum, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two companies to enhance exploration and processing of mineral resources in Pakistan, paving the way for the exchange of cutting-edge technology and international expertise.
Under the partnership, PPL and Metso will undertake joint feasibility studies and planning for key projects in the mineral sector. The collaboration is expected to boost foreign investment and generate new employment opportunities at the local level.
Facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), this initiative reflects ongoing efforts to harness Pakistan’s mineral potential in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Industry experts have termed the successful organization of the Mineral Investment Forum a milestone toward realizing a prosperous future for Pakistan’s mineral sector.
