ISLAMABAD: With the Independence Day approaching, preparations have reached their zenith to celebrate the day with zest and zeal.
Different government departments and private organizations have almost finalized their preparations to observe the day in a befitting manner. They have arranged different colorful events on August 14th including flag hoisting ceremonies, photo exhibitions showcasing the Pakistan Movement and programs for children.
Moreover, a large number of stalls displaying national flags, bunting, flag-color dresses and other accessories have been set up at markets and streets to attract buyers. In Islamabad and other cities, vendors have set up stalls of the national flags of different sizes along main highways and roads
A countrywide tree plantation “Plant for Pakistan campaign” is also underway to promote plantation to reduce pollution.
Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television and private TV channels and FM radio stations are broadcasting and airing special transmissions to highlight the services and sacrifices of heroes of Pakistan Movement.
