ISLAMABAD: President Arif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of Parliament on Tuesday.
According to reports, the session is expected to include the presentation of several key bills, including one on the protection of journalists and media workers.
The joint session, which is being held after nine months, could also see the introduction of bills related to the Minorities Rights Commission and the Pakistan Animal Council.
The session is expected to feature speeches by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The current political context has made this session particularly significant. During previous proceedings, opposition members staged protests, turning the parliamentary hall into a scene of chaos.
