Protecting Rights of Non-Muslim Citizens National Priority: President 

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated that the Constitution of Pakistan provides complete guarantees of religious freedom and fundamental rights to all citizens without discrimination.

Marking the International Day for Tolerance, the president expressed solidarity with the global community and stated that Pakistan remains firmly committed to fostering tolerance, peace, and mutual respect across society.

President Zardari noted that Islam’s core teachings emphasize humanity, compassion, and justice, adding that the government is working actively to end all forms of social and religious exploitation.

He stressed that safeguarding the rights and security of non-Muslim citizens is one of the state’s foremost priorities, and that Pakistan continues to implement its interfaith harmony policy with strong resolve and consistency.

The president also underlined the significance of the National Commission for Minorities Rights Bill 2025, describing it as an important milestone that strengthens institutional mechanisms designed to protect and promote the rights of religious minorities in the country.
