PSX Ends Week On Positive Note With 2,342-Point Gain

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange recorded a strong performance this week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index rising by 2,342 points. The index closed at 161,935, marking a 1.26% increase over the previous week.

During the week, the index touched a high of 162,118 and fell to a low of 157,203 at one point.

Trading activity remained healthy, as investors bought and sold 3.84 billion shares worth 177 billion rupees. The increase in share prices boosted overall market capitalization by 146 billion rupees.

However, Karachi’s separate market capitalization dipped by 146 billion rupees, settling at 18,433 billion rupees.

Overall, the week reflected renewed investor confidence and positive momentum in the market.
