PTI’s digital media cell involved in anti-Pakistan propaganda: police

Islamabad police confirm arrest of party's central spokesman Rauf Hassan.

ISLAMABAD: Central spokesman for the embattled PTI party of former prime minister Imran Khan was on Monday arrested by law enforcement agencies in Islamabad 

The federal capital police confirmed the arrest of Rauf Hassan, but issued no statement about PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan who was, according to media reports, also picked up from the party office.

The police claimed that the digital media cell of the PTI located in Secretarate police area was being used for propaganda against Pakistan and its state institutions.

The police said that on the basis of solid evidence law enforcement agencies raided the digital media cell of the PTI and arrested the party’s spokesperson Rauf Hassan.

The police said that people involved in running the propaganda against Pakistan have been arrested and Rauf Hassan was leading them.

The police also said that computers abd gadgets used for the campaign against the country have been seized from the office.

It may be mentioned here that Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are in Adiala jail in connection with a number of cases registered against them.
