DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police here today arrested Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader and former member of the National Assembly Ali Wazir.
Police said Wazir was arrested near Dara Zinda area while coming from Quetta.
They said that Wazir was already nominated in different cases related to controversial speeches against state institutions. Most of the cases were registered against him and other PTM leaders and supporters in Islamabad and Karachi.
Wazir was earlier also arrested in these cases on a number of occasions. However, he was granted bail by a court in Islamabad and released from the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi on September 20, 2023.
