Public Holiday In Islamabad As UAE President Arrives Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Pakistan on Friday on an official visit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The district administration of Islamabad has issued a notification announcing a public holiday in the federal capital on Jan 26 (Friday).

The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the visit is being made at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During his stay, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other senior Pakistani officials.

The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in various sectors, and exchanging views on regional and global developments.

In view of the high-level visit, the government has announced a public holiday in Islamabad on Friday.

The visit is expected to further reinforce the longstanding and friendly ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
