Ready To Help Flood Victims Wherever Needed In Punjab: Gandapur

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur expressed deep concern over the damages caused by floods in various districts of Punjab.

He assured that the KP government stands with the people of Punjab and will provide full support wherever needed.

The recent monsoon rains have caused widespread flooding across both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, submerging roads, damaging infrastructure, and displacing thousands of families.

In KP, several districts have faced heavy rainfall leading to landslides and flash floods, while in Punjab, rivers overflowing their banks have inundated villages and farmlands.

In a video statement, Gandapur said that compensation for flood victims has been doubled and that 100% of the damages will be reimbursed. This includes losses to crops, orchards, and livestock.

He added that the recent rains and floods have claimed the lives of 406 people, injured 245, completely destroyed 664 houses, and partially damaged 2,431 homes. Additionally, 511 roads, 77 bridges, and 2,123 shops were affected.
