Religious leader killed in armed attack in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A senior leader of Sunni Ulema Council was shot dead by unknown motorcycle riders in the federal capital of Pakistan on Friday.

Police said Molana Nasoodur Rehman was deputy general secretary of Sunni Ulema Council. He along with another person was attacked at Ghori Town in rural area of Islamabad. 

The two injured were shifted to hospital where Rehman died. A spokesman for the Sunni Ulema Council confirmed the death of Rehman.
